HOW A ^LEADER^ SHOULD ACT!

"A Leader is one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way."--John C. Maxwell

A book named Think and Grow Rich mentioned the attributes of leadership in chapter 6. It describes how a leader should act and what and what, not a leader should do. The following are the factors that you should know if you desire to be a Leader:-

1. Self Confidence

If you wish to be a leader, you must have self-confidence because no follower wishes to be dominated by someone who lacks it. Here are some tips on How you can LOOK ACT & FEEL confident.

2. Self Control

If you want to control others, learn to control yourself first. Learn to control your anger. Learn to have patience.

3. A KEEN SENSE OF JUSTICE

A leader can't command and retain the respect of his followers until unless he/she has a keen sense of fairness and justice.

4. Definiteness of Decision

A leader who is not sure of himself and who flick/jerk his decisions cannot lead others.

5. Definiteness of Plans

A leader who moves forward without making any practical plans or just by guessing can be considered as a pen without ink. "A successful leader must plan his work and work his plan."

6. Set an Example

A leader needs to work more than his followers (willingly) to set an example for them.

7. A Pleasing Personality

If you want to earn the respect of your followers you need to have a pleasing personality. You need to learn how to deal with others.

8. Sympathy and Understanding

A leader should be sympathetic & must understand the problems and hitches of his followers. He/She must have a problem-solving quality in him/her.

9. Mastery of Details

A leader must have all the details about all his work & people. He/She must be conscious of what is going around.

10. Cooperation

A leader must learn and apply the principle of cooperation and even teach the same to his followers. "Leadership calls for Power and Power calls for Cooperation." 

11. Responsible

A leader should consider it as his failure if one of his followers is unable to succeed. It is a leader who should take all the responsibilities and failures of his followers on his shoulders.

12. Ready for Everything

"The greatest among ye shall be the servant of all" is a truth that all able leaders observe and respect. A true leader is one who is ready to do any kind of work in any situation.

13. Educate Practical

A perfect leader is not one who knows everything. A perfect leader is one who educates his followers about how to practically implement what he knows. 

14. Positive Analyzation

A Leader should not have a fear of competition with his followers. He/She shouldn't be afraid that one of his followers would take his position one or the other day. A leader should positively analyze this that it would even help to multiply himself and prepare himself to be at many places and give attention to many things at one time.

15. Imagination

A Leader should use a tool of imagination to create efficient plans for success. This even helps in guiding followers efficiently.

16. Unselfishness


A true leader is one who does not take any kind of honor and gives all the credits to his followers. He/She should know that most people will work for commendation and recognition than will for money alone.

17. Loyalty

A Leader should be loyal & trust-worthy to his/her associates because a lack of loyalty is one the reason for failure in every walk of life.

18. The right use of Authority

A true leader moves forward by motivating and encouraging his followers, not by inducing fear in their hearts or by impressing them with his/her authority.
